Increased my sleep medication: Trazodone
Sorry I have not posted in so long. I am still taking 90mg of celexa and 2700 mg of neurontin for my anxiety/depression. I have not had to take a xanax (my security blanket) in about 5 months! And that includes the fact that we have moved to a new state! I have a new psychiatrist, which I think I have mentioned before. He is smart and kind and totally gets me. He is adamant about a full night’s sleep, and has increased my trazodone to 100 mg along with the 8 mg of rozerem. Wow, I sleep great most of the time. I still get up early to use the bathroom sometimes, or when my cats decide to walk across me. But for the most part I am sleeping so well, and I fall asleep so fast at night. I highly recommend that you talk to your doctor about trazodone if you are having sleep problems, whether it is getting to sleep or staying asleep. Trazodone used to be used for depression but it was found to make patients too drowsy. It is not addictive. Awesome.
